Sting (2024) "Sting" might be the worst title you could ever call a horror film about a giant spider. Thankfully, that's the worst part of this otherwise great little flick. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024) This might be one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen, and yet, I can't help but find myself enjoying the heck out of it. GxK delivers a ton of action, spectacle and a whole lot of blockbuster moments. Audiences should get what they pay for with this. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 (2024) Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is a noticeable improvement over the last film (although I don't know how you get worse). Still a bad movie. Just not AS bad. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Ordinary Angels (2024) You have probably seen a movie (or 50) just like Ordinary Angels and that's okay. When something works; it works. This is another tear-jerker with solid performances, a tight script, good messages and polished direction. Take your grandma. She'll love it! - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Madame Web (2024) Madame Web is now the worst movie Dakota Johnson has starred in. That might not seem like much of a statement, until you remember she was in three 50 Shades movies. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire (2023) If you can forgive the clunky prelude (that goes far too long), you will find yourself immersed in a rich new world that sets the stage for what will surely be an explosive part 2. Ceasefire does enough right to be excited for the sequel. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Migration (2023) Parents and kids don't always need to be challenged when watching an animated film. Migration acknowledges this with a very straight-forward, well-executed movie. It's not going to be a big winner for Illumination but at least it's not Minions 25. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Saltburn (2023) Saltburn is not near as clever as it thinks and the shocking moments seem to only exist merely to get people talking. The awkward characters, witty dialogue, interesting setting and slick production; are more than enough to keep viewers engaged. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023) Aquaman 2 will appeal to a younger crowd and those just looking for a fun action flick. No one should be going into this with the assumption it's high-art. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

The Iron Claw (2023) The Iron Claw accomplished something almost no other film did this year. It made me feel something. A beautifully tragic story that takes pause when it needs to but doesn't ever fall into the A24 "artsy" trappings. One of my favorites this year! - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child of Fire (2023) There isn't enough slow-motion in the world to make up for the copy/paste narrative, lame characters, awful pacing and miserable final act. What a waste of time. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

The Boys in the Boat (2023) I think Hollywood has mostly moved past these inspirational, cookie-cutter sports stories but thankfully Clooney hasn't. I guess I'm old-fashioned but a good training montage will always win me over. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Wonka (2023) Well this was a pleasant surprise! A family flick with a wonderful performance by Timothée Chalamet, who has enough charm to sustain the 2-hour runtime. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Leave the World Behind (2023) I find it ironic that Leave The World Behind is split into 4 Acts when the entire movie never gets past the opening. This is an absolute chore to site through with zero payoff at the end. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

The Boy and the Heron (2023) Everything that makes a Studio Ghibli film great is here. An amazing score, beautiful visuals, and wonderful animation. The story, however, is unfocused, drawn out and lacking the emotional impact that makes these movies shine. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Godzilla Minus One (2023) The superior visuals and sound are at odds with the terribly paced story and downright boring characters. It all just feels so underwhelming. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

American Fiction (2023) I appreciated the massive amount of cynicism this movie carried but at some point it needed to have the confidence to finish its own narrative properly. Still an interesting watch; I just wish it landed better. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Napoleon (2023) Napoleon is an interesting film. Not because of the story or characters but more the fact that I enjoyed this overlong, historically questionable tale. It's worth, at the very least, a stream down the road. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023) As far as pointless prequels go, this one kept me interested without pandering to the previous entries in the series. Not amazing but definitely a solid 1-time watch. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Saw X (2023) It's pretty wild that SAW X is one of the first films in the series that got it right for me. The plot points are still pretty stupid and the traps are implausibly manufactured but Tobin Bell getting the spotlight really classes this thing up. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

The Creator (2023) The Creator has all the ingredients to make a really great sci-fi film and honestly, it almost gets there. It has more than enough going for it to definitely recommend but I have a feeling many will pass this by. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah (2023) I'm absolutely floored by the Tomatometer on this! Over 90% fresh? Are you kidding me? You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah is one of the least funny movies I've ever watched. This has a better score than Austin Powers, Dumb & Dumber & Zoolander. Sad. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023) A formulaic yet effective take on the horror icon, Dracula. The Last Voyage of the Demeter nails the atmosphere, the creature design and the crew of this ship. An easy watch with potential for more in the future! - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Meg 2: The Trench (2023) It's almost impressive how lame these Meg movies are. You have some of the coolest creatures ever, big budgets, Jason Statham; yet the films are still so boring to sit through. Remarkable stuff. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Talk to Me (2023) Talk To Me is an easy film to give a "Fresh" score to. I was pretty on-edge through most of it and the 90 minute runtime kept it from losing it's intense pace. I still think it should have been called "Talk To The Hand" but whatever. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Barbie (2023) I have never struggled so much with a "fresh" or "rotten" score. Ultimately, I'm settling on the positive side. Even though Barbie is too long and chalk-full of cringy monologues; the fun cast, wonderful musical numbers and great visuals make up for it. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Sound of Freedom (2022) The movie has good intentions and the topic is heart-breaking but the film unfortunately can't keep up with the engaging 1st act. A great movie was in there somewhere but the script and sluggish pacing had me eager for the credits. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023) It's really hard to find any big faults with the Mission: Impossible franchise. Cruise and company know exactly what the audience wants and they continue to deliver film-after-film. Bring on Part 2! - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

The 'Burbs (1989) I'm a bit bummed to see a rotten score on this movie so I felt inclined to throw my positive review into the ring. The Blackening (2022) This movie felt like a 1-note skit that's about 10 years too late. It's not terrible but it's just all-around really tame and loses steam the longer it keeps going. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Elemental (2023) The trailers for Elemental were terrible. Thankfully, the final product is a different story. Elemental feels like classic Pixar. The Flash (2023) This movie is absolutely insane. It has horrible CGI at times but huge creativity at others. The cast works really well and the storyline actually works well in the multiverse. I enjoyed this hot mess way more than I thought I would. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) Across the Spider-Verse looks better, sounds better and will maybe even be better than Into the Spider-Verse, but as of now, I only saw 1/2 a story on the screen. The Little Mermaid (2023) I'm looking forward to the animated remake in a few years. These Disney "live-action" movies are pointless, unless the entire point is to just make money. In which case, these are the most important films of all-time. The Little Mermaid is tedious. - Adam Does Movies (YouTube)
