Breakdown - The Jaime Foxx vampire movie

Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco are the stars of the new vampire hunting movie "Day Shift". The story is about a hardworking blue collar dad who wants to provide a decent life for his smart daughter. But his boring job cleaning pools in San Fernando Valley, California, is only a facade for his real income source, hunting and killing vampirics as part of the international Union of vampire hunters.

It sounds like a fun idea, but can J.J. Perry bring it to life?

Jamie Foxx and a young lady named Vampire are in a crazy action scene that opens "Day Shift". The sequence then turns into a mad fight between the two. I felt that the movie had a lot of fun using this type of ragdoll Physics in its action sequences, which makes them pop in an action scene that many other Netflix action movies or action blockbusters don't. It's hard to not think about the old adage that "action speaks more than words". But, "Day Shift" has a unique ability to employ both dialogue and action to enhance the story and character development. Jamie Foxx's role as the vampire is finally defeated and he engages in a humorous exchange with his partner about how "he thought she was going to transform into a bat" or something. It is moments like these that elevate "Day Shift," over other movies of the same genre.

Day Shift has a lot of fun and is not too serious. I was able to enjoy it the entire way. I didn't have to think to much, it had great action that was original and I felt like I was enjoying watching it. It was funny and made me laugh a lot. It did draw inspiration from some brilliant vampire films, such as Blade and Lost Boys. These films are also Day Shift review some my favorites. The acting was strong, the direction was superb and the cinematography excellent. Day Shift is an enjoyable movie that's not too serious and easy to watch. It's very entertaining.

Day Shift was mixed. The movie has a lot to offer, including some action scenes that are fun and some characters like the two brothers and Seth. But the villain is horrible and there are many mediocre characters. That helps the stronger characters shine more. There seemed to be missing scenes that were cut. Bud's neighbor acts like she is a friend even though they only had about 3 minutes each before the final scene. The best part of the movie was definitely when Bud went to work at the gas station and started making prank phone calls. It was hilarious and it was so much fun to watch. The movie ended and it was not nearly as entertaining. Day Shift is, in general, a mixed bag. Some parts are wonderful, while others are awful. But if you're looking for a few laughs, you could do worse than this movie.

Snoop Dogg makes this movie well worth it. Snoop Dogg is the best! He's the definition of cool.
