Jurassic World: Dominion

Jurassic World: Dominion is one of the most depressing films I've seen this year and I've seen a fair amount of bad movies as a film critic. The third picture in the Jurassic World trilogy and the sixth in the Jurassic Park series as a as a whole didn't meet the expectations of the film. It was evident from the start that this movie was not going to be a huge success.

Jurassic World: Dominion is a thrilling tale about dinosaurs threatening the earth. Instead of taking the idea and expanding the concept, the film is safe by confining the dinosaurs to a smaller park. This is only one of the many blunders in the film.

One of the major issues with the film is its failure to meet the high expectations established by Jurassic World, Dominion. The film was marketed as the ultimate conclusion to the Jurassic World trilogy. It promised a satisfying finale to the trilogy and huge improvements. Many viewers felt let down and disappointed as the film did not meet the high standards established by its own advertising.

Jurassic World's Dominion has a dull complicated storyline that doesn't make sense. This is because it tries to encompass every character from the previous films. The story is told poorly and in a way that is unorthodox as historical figures are reduced to nothing. This is a major flaw in the narrative. The running time of the film is so long, that you'll end up wondering what all the controversy was about before the titles begin.

Jurassic World - Dominion attempts the synchronization of two separate plotlines to keep the audience interested, but it fails horribly. Although it is obvious that there's the Stegosaurus it is difficult for the film to ignore it for the duration, leaving viewers to wonder why it was even included.

In all honesty, while Jurassic World: Dominion may be an improvement over the widely derided Jurassic Park III, that's not enough to warrant acclaim. It's possible that the film is perhaps the least successful of the Jurassic Park series overall, that's a significant statement considering its history of weak stories. Jurassic World, Dominion, is a terrible, unnecessary waste of time and money. This is a disappointment for new and long-time Jurassic Park fans, as well (blog post) as a clear indicator that the Jurassic Park films should have been pulled years ago.

If you're someone who loves the Jurassic Park movies, you must skip this one. Instead, you should watch the original Jurassic Park film, which is considered to be the most excellent.
