Leprechaun 2 review by Decker Shado

I saw this on UPN in 2001, and I was surprised by how much scarier it was than the original. Don't get me wrong, the original wasn't as terrifying or as a nightmare as this one; this time as the teasers indicated, "He's Back!" This time Leprechaun (Warwick Davis) is on the quest for his wife following his recent 1000 birthday and wants to produce more leprechauns. Like in the previous film, when the protagonist recovers the gold (blog) that was taken from him, he demands it back. The deaths in this film are shown in greater graphic detail than in the previous installment, but audiences should remember that this is still fiction. To lighten things up, Clint Howard plays a tourist, Sandy Baron from Seinfeld is the hero's companion, and Michael McDonald from MadTV is one of the Leprechaun's victims.
