This 2001 UPN remake was scarier than the original. The original wasn't as terrifying or nightmare-like as this one; "He's Back!" Leprechaun (Warwick Davis) wishes to produce additional leprechauns after his 1000th birthday. Like in the previous film, he seeks his stolen or recovered gold. Most death sequences are more brutal than in the prior film, but it's a movie. Clint Howard plays a visitor, Sandy Baron (Seinfeld) is the hero's companion, and Michael McDonald (MadTV) is a (blog) Leprechaun victim.
