Leprechaun is sure to please fans of horror movies

Leprechaun is a classic horror film that is so terrible it's fantastic. The narrative is ridiculous, the acting is ridiculous, and the visual effects are hilariously terrible. But, in the end, it all comes together to make a pleasant and amusing picture. Warwick Davis plays the leprechaun well, while Jennifer Aniston performs admirably in her feature picture debut. If you like campy horror films, then Leprechaun is a must-see. Just don't expect to be afraid; this film will most likely make you chuckle rather than scream.

Legendary status has been granted to Warwick Davis's depiction of an enraged leprechaun. The film's leprechaun believes a human family has stolen his pot of riches. Armed with all his wits and power, he sets out to track them down. However, the family is still on the lookout for the gold in an effort to appease the leprechaun and prevent any more harm from coming to them. Due in large part to Davis's terrifying and memorable performance, Leprechaun is often regarded as one of the finest examples of the horror film genre.

Dan O'Grady goes back to North Dakota in 1983 from Ireland, where he was born. There, he kidnaps a leprechaun and steals his pot of gold. After O'Grady buries the treasure, he finds out that the bad leprechaun followed him home and killed his wife. Using a four-leaf clover, O'Grady takes away the leprechaun's powers and puts him in a box. He had a heart attack before he could burn him.

J. D. Redding leases the O'Grady farmhouse for the summer with his teenage daughter Tory ten years later. The farmhouse is being repainted by contract workers Nathan Murphy, his 10-year-old brother Alex, and their dimwitted friend Ozzie Jones. While scouring the basement, Ozzie hears the leprechaun's cry for help and misidentifies him as a little child. By removing the old four-leaf clover from the box, he frees the leprechaun. Ozzie learns from the leprechaun that he is an Irish shoemaker who came to America in quest of his riches. Ozzie spots a rainbow and follows it in the hopes of finding a pot of gold after failing to convince the others that he had seen a leprechaun. Alex follows him because he is afraid Ozzie may hurt himself. A bag holding 100 gold coins appears before Ozzie by magic. They bury the riches in an ancient well after Ozzie investigates it and mistakenly swallows a coin in the hopes of healing Ozzie's brain.

After a pistol is discovered in the residence, Leprechaun is shot many times. They try to leave once it fails, but the leprechaun has destroyed the truck's engine. The gang is terrorized by the Leprechaun until Ozzie confesses that he and Alex discovered the pot of riches. Tory saves the bag from the well and offers it to the leprechaun. They rush to the hospital, certain that the worst is past. Leprechaun examines his fortune and discovers that he is missing the coin Ozzie ate. He confronts them, believing they have duped him, until Ozzie informs them that O'Grady has suffered a stroke and has been hospitalized. The group diverts the leprechaun's attention by tossing filthy shoes at him, and he is forced to shine them as Tory drives away in her jeep. Tory goes to the home to kill the leprechaun.

By tossing dirty shoes at the leprechaun, the gang diverts his attention, and the leprechaun is compelled to polish the shoes as Tory drives away in her jeep. Tory returns to the farm in search of a four-leafed clover, but the leprechaun assaults her there, forcing Nathan and Ozzie to come to her rescue. When the leprechaun returns to get the remaining gold coin, he is badly injured by Ozzie, who admits eating it. Before the leprechaun can kill Ozzie, Alex takes a four-leaf clover that Tory found, sticks it to a piece of gum, and launches it into the leprechaun's mouth. The leprechaun's skeleton, after tumbling into the well, emerges and demands, "I want my gold." Nathan uses gasoline to set fire to both items after returning the leprechaun to the well. Tory and her father are reconciled, she marries Nathan, and the two have a child when the police arrive. While authorities investigate the debris of the well, the leprechaun vows he would not rest until he recovers every penny of his fortune.
