RoboCop movie review

RoboCop (1987) is a violent, disgusting and schlocky film. The film's main character Peter Weller (played by another actor) is shown shortly before being executed by a criminal organization. Near the end of the movie, one character is badly injured by hazardous materials and then later dies after being hit by an automobile and exploding. This isn't random violence. It has something to do the story and it links into the idea. RoboCop is set in a dystopian future Detroit where law enforcement can't restore order. A multinational conglomerate "partners with" the police force and takes advantage of the crisis to develop (review) and market new pieces military hardware. Combat robots are included in these products, which can replace human patrol officers. In addition to making profits, the corporation will improve neighborhood appearance while also paving way for development of a new high end section of the city.
