Craig Davies and Phil Tippett did an amazing job designing ED 209 and stop motion gives it a feeling that's reminiscent of a classic Universal monster. We shouldn't think that it's (RoboCop) all laughter and action. Robocop realizes that he was once a robot-organic hybrid, and that his prime directives are the only ones he can obey.
