Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop is a combination of clever comedy, jaw-dropping action and solid science fiction. This picture successfully blends dark and light tones, making it a fun piece of art. Although the picture is not as dramatic as it could be, the lighter tones give it character and make it (other) a captivating genre spectacle.
